“Go therefore  and  make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,  teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20 NKJV  This was Jesus’ Great Commission spoken to His disciples while they witnessed His Resurrection. But, it did not end there.  As Christians today, we are still commissioned to go out into the world and teach them His Word!  We are to tell the  people and show them His Powerful Grace and Love! We can, because Jesus promised us we could do this with “His power in the Holy Spirit.”    We can take Him at His Word and know that He really will be “with us all the way”!

“If My people, which are called by My name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14  Franklin Graham just spent a year traveling across our country claiming this promise for you and for me!  I believe God heard that cry!  It is my opinion that God did hear His people and answered us  with the outcome of this election of 2016!   I believe He has forgiven us and given us another chance to take His Word into the cities and the corners of our country !   It’s up to you and I to take that cross up and now carry it wherever God wills us to go!

I have been bringing you a study of the Israelites for the last four months; and if there is one thing we have learned, it was how quickly they would forget all that the LORD had done for them.  I don’t think we are any better that God’s chosen people!  I believe we are just as likely to forget that God has just given us another chance to make our country the God-fearing, God-honoring nation that our founding fathers intended it to be!  I probably am quit naïve to think we can straighten out all the corrupt morals that have taken over our young people and our nation.  I realize that it truly is a much different world than the one I grew up in the ’60s.  But, we don’t have to do this by ourselves.  Again, we can know that it is possible because of Who He Is and What He Has Promised!

 “ I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved ”  John 10:9

“If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. ”  Romans 10:9

“Everyone the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will never cast out. ” John 6:37

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

Won’t you join me and tell someone today and at every opportunity that God gives us, that Jesus is alive and He loves them!  As Luke 4:18-19 says:

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me,
Because He has anointed Me
To preach the gospel to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives
And recovery of sight to the blind,
To set at liberty those who are oppressed;
To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.”
